Feedback Requested: "Mazer" - an Auto Runner with a twist.


Hey, fellow gamers and developers!

"MAZER," is a project I’ve been passionately working on for the past month and a half. Imagine Geometry Dash’s exhilarating pace combined with Pac-Man’s maze navigation - that’s the essence of MAZER. The project is at about what I consider the halfway point, with some functionalities like leaderboards and a trophy system yet to be implemented, the core gameplay offers a unique challenge.

I’ve integrated a CHECKPOINT SYSTEM, inspired by community feedback, where players can strategically choose to trade part of their score for health points or to save their progress at a checkpoint for their next run. This addition aims to offer a moment of respite and strategic planning, enhancing the overall game experience by not making the player repeat the same level over and over.

The project is still in its early stages and rough around the edges, but I’ve added a "spine" to the game development process to keep things organized and moving smoothly. I’m reaching out for your constructive feedback to help refine "Mazer," and make it the best it can be.
